Walking Tour - Sanguinho

This trail starts near to Ribeira do Faial da Terra, walking on a small road which will take to the stream border, getting in on a forest full of incense/ Victorian box tree and acacia. You’ll also discover an old watermill, little fuit trees on both sides of the stream. After a small walking you’ll reach a bridge that will take you to Salto do Prego waterfall an amazing place for you to relax for a while and appreciate our amazing nature. Finishing the relaxing time you’ll meet the Sanguinho ancient village now recuperated, here you’ll find typical old constructions and small farms holdings. On the way you can find some sanguinho an Azorean endemic plant which gave the name to this village.

It is worth to make some stops during the trail for you to see the landscapes that this region as to offer.
