Cabeceiras de Basto - Nature & Tradition

The experience starts at 8am in our meeting point in Clérigos Tower in Porto where you will meet the guide/driver.

The group (8 guests maximum) will be driven for 1 hour to Cabeceiras de Basto on a 9 seat van.

Leaving from Porto at 8:15am.

Arriving to Cabeceiras de Basto at approximately 9:15am, you will visit the main cultural points in the town centre and have an introduction about the region customs and traditions.

While visiting the local museum, a musical performance will be offered to you by local musicians.

After the performance, you will head to a natural viewing point where you can enjoy the natural landscape. A full regional meal in a local restaurant (1pm until 2pm) located in a remote area of the region ( only 20 minutes away driving), will be provided by the operator. Having finished lunch, you will proceed to North of Cabeceiras de Basto on a 20 minutes drive and visit a museum, that its main goal is to protect and promote the ancient art of wool clothes manufactoring. Here you will be able to live experience, the labour performed by local ladies who are more than happy to meet you and show their skills using devices which are no longer used in this industry.

Leaving the museum, you will step into our final part of the visit, which is located just 5 minutes away, where you willl see the biggest granary of Portugal and head back to Porto, packed with great memories, knowledge and a full stomach!
