The origins of Portugal - Braga and Guimarães Private Tour

Let’s get to know two of the most authentic and important Portuguese cities.

– We leave from Porto to Guimarães to start our visit at the Guimarães castle;

– Then, we`ll pass through the Chapel of s. Miguel, where our first king was baptized, visit the palace of the Dukes of Bragança and, afterwards, walk down the historic street of Santa Maria towards Largo da Oliveira, where we`ll be able to appreciate the UNESCO heritage center and visit the Church of Oliveira;

– Go up to Mount Penha by cable car and enjoy the view over the city;

– After having lunch in a traditional restaurant, we`ll drive towards Braga to visit the Good Jesus monastery and Senhora do Sameiro up the hill. Once at the top, we will be rewarded by the magnificent view;

– Going down the hill, the city center is waiting for us. We`ll walk over the ancient city, trough the old streets, the baroque churches and visit the magnanimous Sé Primacial of Braga (the oldest in the country);

– Return to Porto
