Stop At: Petrin, Prague Czech Republic

Petrin Lookout Tower modeled after the Eiffel Tower, standing in Prague since 1891. The tower, at 208-feet tall, stands on Petrin Hill and is one of Prague’s many recognizable landmarks. The 360-degree viewing platform can be accessed by climbing 299 steps. Tower is nearby Prague Castle where our tour ends so you can explore your favorite monuments close up.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Vysehrad Walls, V pevnosti 159/5B, Prague 128 00 Czech Republic

Built in the 10th century on a slight hill, the castle complex includes a church (Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul), a cemetery (where several of Prague’s most famous residents are buried) and the Rotunda of St. Martin (which dates to the 11th century). There we find large viewing platforms on the north and south, but we will search for small platform with amazing view of the river and the Prague Castle.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Dancing House, Jiraskovo Namesti 1981/6, Prague 12000 Czech Republic

One of Prague’s most photographed buildings from recent centuries turned 20 in 2016. It was one of the city’s first modern buildings built after the fall of communism in 1989. It officially opened in June 1996. It is home to almost 3000 square meters of office premises, a restaurant, a gallery, and a conference center. Most importantly, there is a sightseeing terrace on top of it, from which we will overlook the breathtaking panorama of Prague.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Zizkov Televison Tower, Mahlerovy sady 1, Prague 130 00 Czech Republic

700-foot-tall television transmitter tower in Zizkov, built between 1985 and 1992 – the addition of the giant babies came in 2000. Whether the babies crawling on the tower are creepy or cute, we are convinced the views from the ‘pods’ (at 328-feet high) are the best in Prague. View isn’t open air – which means photos can only be taken through glass however you warm up on cold days.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Metronome, Nabrezhi Edvarda Beneshe 337/8, Prague 118 00 Czech Republic

The 75-foot-tall, bright red metronome has been keeping the rhythm in Prague since 1991 – but it’s the city views from the landmark that attract people to it. Located in Letna Park on the former site of a massive statue of Stalin (which was torn down in 1962).

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: National Monument at Vitkov, U pamatniku 1900, Prague 130 00 Czech Republic

A wonderful place to learn the history of the Czech Republic…but it’s also a fantastic viewpoint of Prague. Standing under the dominating equestrian statue (which is the 3rd largest in the world) in front of the main building, views stretch west across the city.
