Dominican Sightseeing Day Trip including Lunch Cruise

To start the day, you will be picked up directly from your hotel. First will be a briefing from the tour guides about safety and the activities and program for the day. The first stop will be at the baseball stadium in La Romana where you will receive an explanation of the national sport. Next you will arrive at the Tabacalera Garcia where you will opportunity to buy cigars and see how they are manufactured. After that you will head to Altos de Chavon for time to go to museums, visit the town's amphitheater and have some free time to shop around.

Next, hop aboard for a riverboat ride along the famous Chavon River, where you´ll have an unforgettable trip enjoying a fantastic scenery to the sound of tropical music. This breathtaking natural landscape has been the scene of several international movies such as Apocalypse Now and Rambo II. Here you will enjoy an incredible grilled lobster lunch served on board. Then arrive at the largest and most important cathedral in the country, Basilica de La Altagracia, the spiritual catholic mother of the Dominicans. At the end of the amazing day, you will be taken back to your hotel.
