This neo-gothic basilica is 115 meters high and exists of 24 internal chapels that represent the provinces of Ecuador. It is one of the most important Ecuadorian buildings in neo-gothic style and is compared to the Notre Dame in Paris and the St. Patrick Basilica in New York.
Your entry ticket covers access to the church towers. After climbing the stairs, you have a great view, over el Panecillo, the statue of Virgin Marie.
Visiting hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00– 17:00 and weekends, from 6:00 -18.30. Address: Carchi y Venezuela.
