About this activity
Join us to discover one of the greatest riches of Ecuador: its people!

The multiculturalism found in Ecuadorians is due to the cultural differences of the various regions of the country. On this tour you will see the daily activities of the locals, and will also learn about the traditions of the indigenous communities who still carry out manual labour in order to provide for their families.

With the English speaking guide, you will traverse the streets of the historic center in search of the stores and the most authentic and representative people of the beautiful Ecuador. In your journey you will see how the original cloth sandals (espadrilles) are made, visit street vendors and the shoeshiners working in the historic Plaza Grande. During your cultural adventure, a native craftsman will explain the history of Ecuador's cloth hats. At the end we will get to know one of the oldest barber shops in the city that has operated as a family business since 1962.

This is a fabulous opportunity to be part of Ecuadorian society for a day!
