Transfer to Ibarra
Train of Liberty: Our guide will take you to the train station in Ibarra where you will take the Train of Liberty to the town of Salinas. It´s an amazingly beautiful train-ride through arid mountains, over bridges and through tunnels. In Salinas you will be welcomed by the local Afro-Ecuadorians and enjoy their culture, music and dances. You will also have time for a short visit to the salt museum and get to know all about the salt mining process

Animal market: Visit the Animal market, a fantastic place to get to know the culture and how indigenous people in the area live.
Plaza de los Ponchos: The hustle and bustle of this colorful market is a great experience and you can admire great handmade crafts, ponchos, alpaca blankets and a variety of textiles – this is a great place for souvenir shopping! You can also check out the traditional food market stalls where you can see the fruits and typical products the merchants offer there – you can find some tropical fruits that perhaps you have never seen before.
Cuicocha Lake: Visit the volcanic lake of Cuicocha before heading back to Quito late in the afternoon
