If you have elected transfer please be ready at 8:00 AM from your destined pick up location and please take into account that pick up can take up to 30 minutes for us to arrive. The fourth biggest glacier in Iceland is Mrdalsjkull galcier of which Slheimajkulli is an attached outlet. The glacier tongue is a jagged, raw and ever evolving hub of ancient frozen water, a place that truly demonstrates the most spectacular creations of mother nature. The tour will begin with instructions about equipment and safety. We will supply on the necessary tools for your glacier adventure including ice axes, crampons, helmets and safety lines. We want to make sure that you're comfortable and safe on the glacier! You get to discover the crevasse riddled outlet glacier and also test out your ice climbing skills. On our return journey to Reykjavik, we will stop at the beautiful waterfall, Skgafoss. The tour is about four longs with approximately 3 hours spent on ice which includes the hour spent climbing.
