Stop At: Seljalandsfoss, Hella Iceland

This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 meters over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to walk behind the waterfall.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Skogafoss, Skogar Iceland

Is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 m. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.

Stop At: Reynisfjara Beach, Route 215, Vik Iceland

Reynisfjara is a black pebble beach and features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a a rocky step pyramid. Out in the sea are the spectaculary shaped basalt sea stacks Reynisdrangar.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Dyrholaey, Vik Iceland

120 m high peninsula with a hole through it. A 15 min hike is to the top. The view from up there is spectacular: To the north you can see the big glacier Mýrdalsjökull. To the east, the black lava columns of the Reynisdrangar come out of the sea, and to the west the whole coastline in the direction of Selfoss is visible - depending on weather conditions.

Stop At: Vik i Myrdal Church, Sunnubraut 7, Vík, Iceland

A village - Its stretch of black basalt sand is one of the wettest places in Iceland. The cliffs west of the beach are home to many seabirds, most notably puffins.

Stop At: Solheimajokull Glacier, Vik Iceland

We head back through the farmlands and sand flats south of the Sólheimajökull glacier which is an outlet glacier from Mýrdalsjökull, the fourth largest glacier in Iceland.
