Skip the Line: Sugar Loaf Admission Ticket

Sugar Loaf Mountain is a peak situated in Rio de Janeiro that rises 1,300 feet (396 meters) above the harbor. Its image is recognized worldwide as one of the symbols of Brazil and is well-known for its glass-walled cable car that takes you to the top of the mountain. More than a million tourists visit Sugar Loaf each year to enjoy a 360-degree view of Rio de Janeiro. The complex at the top also houses a food court and restaurant, so you can treat yourself to some nibbles and drinks (own expense).

Your prebooked ticket entitles you to skip the main lines for both of Sugar Loaf's two cable cars. Upon arriving at Sugar Loaf, head straight for the "Exclusive Tickets" entrance (on the left hand side) and exchange your voucher for an admission ticket, granting you access to the next cable car up the mountain. The cable cars run every 20 minutes from 8:10am through 9pm and the last car down departs from the summit at 8:40pm.

Once at the top, sit back, relax and take in the breathtaking views that surround you. You can spend as much time as you want at the top - there are no time constraints! Your ticket is valid for any returning cable car.

The bondinho, as it is known in Brazil, holds 65 people and takes three minutes to go up to the first mountain, Morra da Urca, and an additional three minutes to reach the summit. With jaw-dropping views of the ocean and the city, Sugar Loaf is definitely a must-see when in Brazil!
