The first stop on your driven tour is the hilltop town of Montepulciano. It is known for both its Vino di Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano wines. You will walk the cobbled streets and pass by buildings that date back to the Renaissance and Middle Ages. You will also have free time to explore this town by yourself. Next, you will head to the village of Bagno Vignoni, located on a hill surrounded by the Valley Orcia River. It is famous also for its thermal waters that have been used since Roman times, and the whole village is built around its central Piazza of water (a huge pool of thermal water). You will then be able to spend some time walking around this unique village. Then your guide will take you on to Montalcino wine area which is famous for its rich Brunello di Montepulciano wine. You will be able to enjoy a tour of a prestigious winery and learn about its winemaking methods. After you will get to treat yourself another tasting session while you savor a light lunch of cured meat, cheese, bruschetta and extra virgin olive oil. The final stop of the day is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Pienza, whose layout was designed by Pope Pius II in the 14th century. You will have free time to walk around and experience this sweet village. You might also want to purchase some Pecorino cheese, Pienza's most famous export. FInally, you will journey back to your hotel in Rome.
