About this activity

The tour starts in Rome where the driver will pick you up directly from your hotel at 08.00 a.m.

First stop will be Montepulciano, a small medieval village where they produce the renowned red wine "Vino Nobile".

The disposition of the town creates a dislevel of over 60 meters and it is this noteable ascent that gives the town of Montepulciano one of its more important characteristic:

undergound cantinas.

You will visit one the biggest and most ancient undergound cantina: you will have a wine tasting and the guide will explain you the history of the winery and the wine making process.

At lunch time the driver will take you to one of the most popular farmhouse near Montepulciano, from where you can observe the beautiful landscape of the Val d'Orcia. You can eat homemade products and drink high quality wine.

After lunch you leave Montepulciano to go to Pienza, a beautiful small medieval village known for its production of very tasty cheese and wine. You'll have time to visit the city and to buy typical products.

At 04.30 p.m. you will leave Pienza to go back to Rome.
