About this activity

Sauna bathing is an essential part of Finnish culture and national identity. There are only 5,4 million Finns but 3,3 million saunas. Your journey starts with pick-up from your location and transport to the completely private area. Drive from Rovaniemi city center takes approx. 30 minutes. Sauna is located between 2 finnish lakes. Enjoying a sauna is a personal thing, you should always listen to your body and do as you feel best. There is no one right way to bathe in the sauna. For a first time you could stay in for a five minutes, depending on the temperature. After cooling down for a few minutes, go into the sauna again and stay a bit longer. When you come out of the sauna, you can just sit down and admire the beauty of nature around you. The wood fired sauna has capacity for up to 6 persons.
