Catherine Park is a wonderful work of the Russian art of gardening from the 18th and 19th centuries, which combines the masterpieces of architecture with the beauty of the transforming nature of the north. More than a dozen pavilions are spread throughout the green space, including the Grotto, the Upper and Lower Bathhouses, the Cameron Gallery, the Creaking Summer House, and the Concert Hall.
A walk around the Great Pond will reveal other buildings including the intriguing Turkish Bath, with its minaret-style tower, the wonderful Marble Bridge, the Chinese Pavilion, and a Concert Hall isolated on an island, where concerts take place every Saturday at 5pm.
