The Grand Palace of Peterhof was one of the official summer residences of the Imperial Russian Family. Built in the days of Peter the Great and rebuilt several times, the Peterhof Grand Palace offers a unique experience to see the combination of styles, belonging to different epochs, charming beauty of the interiors and deep historical background.

During the guided tour to the palace you will see the reception halls, paintings from the private collection of the imperial family, dining rooms used for the official events and, as a conclusion, the Oak study of Peter the Great.

You will have a chance to visit the unique gardens of Peterhof, that were designed in days of Peter the Great.

During his voyage to Europe, Peter the Great was deeply impressed by the beauty of Versailles Gardens, and made up a decision to create in the new capital of Russia something as special as that. He invited the French Garden designer Jean-Baptiste Le Blond to work on the design of the future Peterhof Garden. The idea of Peter the Great was to make even more beautiful and impressive Park outside St. Petersburg, than the one in Versailles. If he succeeded or not, you may judge during your tour :)

During the walk around the Peterhof Lower Garden you will see more than 100 fountains, 5 cascades, enjoy the view on the Marine canal and the Gulf of Finland.
