City Lights is arguably San Francisco's most iconic book store. It opened in 1953 as the first book store in the country to sell only paperback books. It quickly became headquarters of the Beat Movement.

You'll conclude your Taste of North Beach with dessert at a local gem. Comstock was founded just after the 1906 earthquake, and named after the Comstock silver load that fueled the expansion of the city.
