Trying new foods is one of our clients' favorite things to do in San Jose, Costa Rica. 

We will highlight the culinary roots of Costa Rica preparing you to try traditional foods. We will also take in many historic city sites satisfying your hunger for knowledge as well!

Stops will offer a taste of tropical fruits, baked goods, chocolate, traditional plates, small plates and coffee as we wonder through markets and chat with street vendors, no more than 8 people per group. (book private group) 

Location:

Parque Morazan, underneath the temple (9.935441, -84.075420). This park is in front of the Holiday Inn Aurola. The tours finish within 4 blocks of this park.

Overview:

This tour will wind through the walkways, parks and central market of downtown San Jose, Costa Rica. We'll take in the sights, smells and tastes of traditional dishes. Tasting local flavors is one of the best things to do in San Jose, and you'll finish with a great understanding of how a typical Costa Rican fills his belly.

 

We'll also discuss current events and point out historical places to see in San Jose, going beyond a typical tourist experience. We will also take in many historic city sites satisfying your hunger for knowledge as well!
