Eco Tour: The Pirraya

Begin the adventure at Xirihualtique restaurant, where the tour starts with a boat ride through the mangroves of Jaquilisco Bay. Our first stop will be at the Rancho Viejo community, where we will get to learn about the customs of the area, including natural methods of fish preservation. Then, the tour continues by boat to La Pirraya community where you will be able to experience the freedom of swimming in the Jiquilisco Bay, a Ramsar protected area. If your visit is during the correct season (August-January), you may also have the opportunity to release baby sea turtles.
