About this activity
Let us take you through history on our Santiago City Highlights Tour from the old Spanish colonial city of Pedro de Valdivia to the now modern buzzing hub in Latin America. Come and see all the highlights of Santiago with us on a 3 to 4 hour walking tour! On the tour you will see it all! Stroll through the mazes of fruit, vegetable, spices, and meat stalls at La Vega market, admire the art-nouveau-London-train-station-style-like construction of the old fish market Mercado Central, and experience the fast pace enviornments, the smells, the colors, and let yourself take it all in. We will also visit the neo-classical Moneda Palace (seat of the government), the Plaza de Armas (main square), and Santa Lucia Hill, where Santiago was founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia. Of course showing the exquisite gastronomy of Santiago is part of the Santiago Highlights Tour, so we will stop for lunch in a gourmet wine restaurant with plenty of opportunities to indulge in some (or many) sips of Chiles famous wines! After lunch, we will find ourselves in the bohemian ambiance of the Bellavista neighbourhood, where you will have the possibility to spend some leisure time shopping, visit the Cerro San Cristobal Hill, have dinner in one of the many restaurants on the street of Concepcin, or we can chaperone you back to your hotel. You will be picked up at 10.00 and returned by 15.00 max to your hotel.
