Brazilian Culture Immersion Tour

Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 9:30am to take you on your Brazilian culture experience in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

The first stop will be at one of the most popular gastronomy spots in Sao Paulo, the Municipal Market. One of the oldest and most traditional markets in the city, it holds a great variety of food from meats, poultry, seafood, sweets, cold cuts, and a vast variety of spices. You will be allowed approximately 45 minutes to stroll around the market sampling local favorites such as “Baloney Sandwiches” and “Dried Cod Turnovers”. 

After, visit a charming “Cachaçaria”, for a sampling of some cachaça, (typical Brazilian distilled spirit made from sugarcane). This stop will last around 30 minutes and the guide will introduce you to the different types of cachaça, which are aged in wooden barrels of different types; you’ll have the opportunity to taste the subtle differences of each.

Next, proceed to a dance school for the main event of your tour, your Samba dance class! Take the opportunity to learn some steps of this world famous and sensual Brazilian musical rhythm. The class lasts approximately 1 hour and is made in a very smooth pace, accessible to people of all ages and conditions.

When your tour is complete you will be dropped off at your hotel in Sao Paulo.
