The morning tour departs from your hotel and travels to Skidaway Island for a stop at the Pin Point Heritage Museum. The stop includes admission to the center which highlights Gullah / Geechee culture from daily life, religion, language and food. Continuing back to downtown for the African American history tour, including various Black Heritage sites within the Historic District concluding your tour at Franklin Square, home of the Haitian Soldier Revolutionary War monument and the First African Baptist Church. This church is one of the oldest black churches in North America and has a rich Underground Railroad history where you have the opportunity to visit on your own at the conclusion of your tour.
