About this activity

This walking tour will show you the quirky outdoor artworks in Seattle's Fremont District and introduced by a local ‘Fremonster.’ The tour will take you along eight pieces of public art and learning their origins and how they found a home in the Fremont District, which is nicknamed the "Center of the Universe." Catch the stunning sight of the eighteen-foot-tall Fremont Troll under the Aurora Bridge and the seven-ton sculpture of Vladimir Lenin that traveled 10,000 miles from its original home to the artsy Fremont neighborhood. The tour guides are very much a perk when it comes to this tour, you will be guided by such characters as the Fremont Fair Godmother, Jefe the Turkish rap singer, or a Super Hero. Your costumed and prop carrying guides involve unsuspecting strangers into the interactive tour. The tours main mission is for guests to explore art and history through play while highlighting the importance of public art and the art community. After the tour, you can visit local shops and cafes along the canal or wander through the European style Fremont Sunday Market.
