About this activity
You will start your 2-hour lesson on the southwest side of Lake Union right in Seattle. Before boarding, there will be a briefing where safety and sailing theory is covered. Then step aboard the boat to learn the ropes first hand. Your hands on lesson is on a small and exciting boat where you will learn to sail and be able to see fantastic views of the following:
• Floating Homes (including the Sleepless in Seattle home)
• The Space Needle
• Gasworks Park
• Seattle's Draw Bridges (much better to see from the water rather than in traffic!)
• St Marks Cathedral
• The Seattle SkylineYou will learn how to tack, jibe, and drive the boat. Whether you aspire to sail around the world, own your own boat someday, or have been sailing before, this is a fantastic opportunity to get on the water in the heart of Seattle and experience the Emerald City as it was intended.
