Private Tour: Shanghai Essence Tour & Acrobatic Show

Meet your guide and driver in your hotel lobby by 9am and begin the tour of the day.

Your tour begins from the Yu Garden, a famous classical garden, finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) named Pan Yunduan. Yu in Chinese means pleasing and satisfying, and this garden was specially built for Pan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics.

Then you will visit The Jade Buddha Temple, founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 meters tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing the Buddha's death.

Enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will be taken to the Jin Mao Tower, the second tallest building in China. Go up in elevator to the 88th floor and enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai. Next, you will take a Huangpu River Cruise, admire the beauty of Shanghai on the river and between the skylines.

Later you will be taken to see an acrobatic show at the ERA.

The tour will finish here and you will be transferred back to your hotel.
