Stop At: City Tour, Sofia Bulgaria

The tour starts at 9am when the guide will take you from your address in Sofia. You will travel about hour and a half to the region of Sapareva Banya.
Your first stop will be the small village Ovchartsi. From there starts an eco-path that goes to the waterfall. It is relatively easy accessible and the walk is not long- about 15- 20 minutes in each direction. The landscape itself is very beautiful and offers great possibilities for panoramic pictures as well.
After the refreshing walk you will go to Saparava Banya- the capital of thermal spa on the Balkan Peninsula. There you will have the unique opportunity to dive into the hot thermal waters and enjoy the magnificent panorama at the skirts of the mountain. This is also the place with the hottest geyser in Europe.
Mineral water is highly regarded and used as a cure by Thracians and Romans. Saparevian mineral water is clear, colourless, with smell of hydrogen sulphide, hyper thermal (temperature 103 °C), hydro carbonate, sulphate-sodium, fluorine, silicon and sulfate. Hydrogen sulfide is 15,5 mg / L. It is claimed that the water treats disorders of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and upper respiratory tract.
For the SPA you will have about 2-3 hours and also 1 hour will be allowed for a lunch break in the nearby restaurants. At about 5pm you will be back at Sofia.
