In a short space of time you will be at Castel Nuovo or the ‘Maschio Angioino’, one of the most important symbols of Naples, dominating the Municipio Square, and immediately setting the tone for the tour by displaying Naples’ royal character. Finally catching our first glimpse of the sea, we’ll walk along the pleasant lungomare promenade to reach the final highlight of the tour, Castel Dell’ Ovo. This medieval castle provides us with amazing views over the bay of Naples, Mt. Vesuvius and the famous islands of Capri and Ischia.
We end the city tour on its panoramic terrace, where you have time to take in the essence of the city from above - the perfect photo opportunity to capture the beauty of Naples!
The afternoon is at leisure as you enjoy your free time to explore Naples at your own pace. Your local guide will be available to give you the best tips on where to go and where to try the best local delicacies. You will have the perfect opportunity to sample some local fish on the waterfront, or of course the delicious local pizza! Or may decide for a wander in the narrow streets of Spaccanapoli and take a trip on the funicular in the elegant Vomero area to fully appreciate this city of contrasts and colours, before joining your coach transfer back to Sorrento.
