About this activity
Begin with pickup at 8am, which can be any hotel or apartment in Split and surrounding area. At 10:30am you can stop for coffee and sightseeing in Ston, a medieval town with longest stone wall in Europe with narrow streets and traces of ancient cultures spread all over the place. Between Ston and Orebic, the Peljesac peninsula contains nothing but rocky, barren hills. The soil is generally poor but the generous sunshine is perfect for cultivating grapes. As a result, Peljesac wine is renowned throughout Croatia and is considered by many to be one of the finest wine in this part of Europe.

You will visit 3-4 wineries which produce some of the best wines in Croatia (Grgich, Matusko, Bartulovic,Milos and Postup wine) Postup has been a premium wine since 1967, sometimes called the younger brother of Dingac, best Croatian wine. It is produced from the indigenous Plavac Mali at the specific locations around Postup viillage as well as in Potomje. The wine is a dark ruby color, full-bodied, balanced flavor with a hint of bitterness. It fits good with red meat, game or grilled fish and should be chilled to a temperature of 18 °C. Departure toward Split at 5:00pm with a stop in Metkovic, small beautiful city focused on agriculture because of the fertile delta famous for its mandarin plantations and other fruits and vegetables. Arrive in Split at midnight.
