About this activity
When your cruise arrives at Kaohsiung Port, you will be picked up at the port at 8:00 AM and transferred to the famous Fo Guang Shan. It is an international Chinese Mahayana Buddhist monastic order based in Taiwan. Founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1967, the order promotes Humanistic Buddhism with aims to propagate Buddhist teachings through cultural activities, foster talent through education, benefit society through charitable programs, and to purify human hearts and minds through Buddhist practice.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant that offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. After lunch you will visit the Lotus Pond, a beautiful artificial lake in Kaohsiung City. Opened in 1951, it is famous for not only the lotus, but also some temples around the lake, including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions and the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. It is definitely a great place for photos and lighthearted experience. When the tour ends, you will be dropped off at the port to board your cruise ship.
