Asilah Shore excursion from Tangier will introduce you to a beautiful artists town located south of
Tangier. Meet your guide and driver at the pier and start the tour through the magnificent Atlantic coast past sandy beaches and fishermen villages. Upon arrival to Asilah, quickly notice a Roman, Portuguese, and Spanish influence from its architecture.
The laid-back town of Asilah is well known in Morocco for its artists and whitewashed houses and cultural life. Upon arrival, visit the Raisoul Palace, and the early 20th-century building still used as a place of Brandit Raisouli.
From here we proceed to the Medina, famous for its 15th-century Portuguese ramparts and whitewashed houses with blue and green shutters forming a delightful seaside walk.
Drive back to the
Tangier Kasbah, Medina, and Markets. The guide takes you on a walk to explore the medina of Tangier, which provides you a right experience for life in the city- both past and existing – days. We pass by the mind-blowing mosaic studded minaret overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the
Grand Socco, and the
Mendoubia Park. Discover the fruit, vegetable and fish markets.
Lunch at leisure.
The visit of the historic medina continue with its craftsmanship and narrower streets, go to the
Jewish Quarter & Synagogue, the
American legation, before ending the walk in the
Petit Socco, well-known with its multitude of small hotels which earlier accommodated well-known artists and writers such as Matisse, Camille Saint-Seans, Paul Bowles… free time (20 to 30 mins) for a coffee break. Then re-board the Transport the medina‘s Marine gate and return to the port to Catch the ferry or drop off Tangier Hotel.
