• Lake Paravani is a volcanic lake, located in South Georgia, in the municipality of Ninotsminda. Lake Paravani is the largest in Georgia in terms of the area of the mirror. Its surroundings are also interesting from an archaeological point of view. In addition, the subject of the interest is also the fact that it was through these territories that St. Nino passed on the way from Cappadocia to Mtskheta.

• Foka Convent is located in South Georgia, on the shore of Lake Paravani. The foundation of the monastery is associated with the name of the enlightener of Georgia, St. Nino of Cappadocia. St. Nino entered Georgia from Javakheti and stopped at Lake Paravani. In the 11th century a temple was built here in her honor. Today, monastic life is actively taking place here, nuns produce various natural products.
• Gorelovka is an azure village of Dukhobors located in the municipality of Ninotsminda. The village was founded by the Dukhobors expelled in the mid-19th century by the emperor of the Russian Empire, Nicholas I. The society with its own special faith and attitude to the world, the Dukhobors decorated their place of residence with a special architecture. Even the painted shutters of the houses testify to the aesthetics and spiritual life of the Dukhobors.
• Madatapa – lake in the south-eastern part of Javakheti volcanic mountain range, Ninotsminda Municipality, 2108 meters above sea level, surface area – 8.78 square kilometers, pool area – 136 square kilometers, max. depth – 1.7 meter, volume of water – 9.7 million cubic meters. Place was created with lava flow as a result of closing the gorge. It feeds on snow, rain and underground waters. Level is high in spring, low in winter. From the lake outflows the River Madatapa. It has an underground outflow too, because of which the level is significantly changing. Water temperature is 17-18 degree Celsius in summer, in winter the lake is frozen nearly to the bottom. Water is weakly mineralized. Lake has a weak economic importance. Lake does not have fish. In summers sea birds are in large amounts.
