Stop At: Akko Old Town, Acre Israel

In the old (Ottoman) city, we'll be seeing the city's gate, fortifications, Bustan al-Pasha, some of the markets, residential neighborhoods & one of the recently renovated hotels of the city! We'll also be seeing, from the outside, the city's Ottoman fortress (aka "The Underground Prisoners Museum"), Al-Jazzar Mosque and Zawiyat al-Shaziliyya!

Here we discuss the history, culture & heritage of the city. We also cover everyday life, coexistence (and its complexities), touristic development (and its complexities), food, conservation and more!

Stop At: Knights' Halls, Rehov Weizman 1, Acre 2430122 Israel

Here we'll be seeing a Crusader, medieval fortress, called The Knights' Halls (aka "The Underground City" & "Hospitaller Fortress"), which is all underground. This is the biggest site in the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, packed with amazing stories and beautiful, massive architecture! Here we discuss Akko a the capital city of the 2nd Kingdom of Jerusalem, crafts, industry, daily life & more!

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Templars Tunnel, Near Lighthouse, Acre Israel

The tunnel is a relatively recent discovery in the city, somewhat of a mystery, crossing the city from east to west below the houses & streets! This one, just like the Knights' Halls, is generally dated to the Crusader period. Here we'll be walking through a vaulted tunnel, on a bridge, with water below us, and see what this tunnel might have been used for!
