Private Tour: Horseback Riding Waterfall and Rainforest Hike Adventure in El Castillo

Meet your guide at a central location in El Castillo, close to La Fortuna at 8am. The guide will give you a safety briefing before you head out on a 20-minute drive to the Cano Negro River.

Here, you will start your horseback riding adventure which will last one hour and take you up the river and through the forest, ending at a subsistence farm. The tour continues with hiking for about 20 minutes on a steep trail towards a 42 meter tall waterfall. Once there, you can enjoy the surroundings, take pictures and rest or get in the water and even walk behind the waterfall.

After your waterfall visit, you will get back on your horse and ride up the mountain to get amazing views of Arenal Volcano, Lake Arenal and the forested hills of Monte Verde. The horse ride continues back to your vehicle at the Cano Negro River at which point you will travel back to el Castillo for Farm to fork lunch experience at local artisan shop.
