Kurama is filled with small, individually-owned shops selling quality fashion items. There is always something new to discover in this neighborhood. Take your time looking through the Japanese-made, handmade apparel and accessories here. These goods are inspired by Japanese culture and design, and may just add to your love for Japan (and we hope it does!).
・Have Japanese tea brewed for you personally at Nakamura Tea Life Store
Nakamura Tea Life Store is nestled in the corner of Kuramae, with its vivid navy blue storefront curtain. All the tea here is organic and chemical-free. Have a cup of Japanese green tea brewed just for you. Be sure to take home some matcha or black tea in the shop’s sleek packaging.
・Make your own notebook at Kakimori
Kakimori, fitting with Kuramae's connection to craftsmanship, is a shop where you can design your own stationery. First, choose the front and back of your notebook and have the staff make it for you. These special notebooks make great presents for friends and loved ones.

・Fill up on delicious coffee and chocolate
At the end of the tour we will drop by Dandelion Chocolate, a single-origin chocolate shop. Originally opened in San Francisco, this shop meshes perfectly with the laid-back atmosphere of Kuramae. We suggest the Kuramae Hot Chocolate, an original drink blended with roasted green tea.
Based on tour participants requests, we can also visit Nui. Hostel Bar&Lounge. This is a popular spot in Kuramae. The relaxed lounge and bar at Nui. attracts many international travelers and is a favorite of local artists.
