Enjoy a scenic drive on a winding road that links central Nikko on lower ground to the mountainous region of Oku-Nikko

After reaching the Akechidaira Plateau traveling on the Irohazaka Road, take a ropeway up to an observation platform for stunning views of Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji. The observation platform is said to have the best views in Nikko.

Kegon Falls is one of the top 3 waterfalls in Japan. Get up close to the mighty waterfall boasting a 97m drop, which is the only exit for the water of Lake Chuzenji.

Enjoy a boat cruise around Lake Chuzenji at the foot of mt. Nantai. The lake is particularly wonderful in autumn surrounded by colorful foliage.

Try the famous local specialty 'yuba' for lunch at a restaurant by the iconic Shinkyo Bridge. Yuba is the skin that forms at the top when boiling soy milk and is served in multiple ways. Very healthy!

After lunch, you will have 2.5 hours to explore Nikko city, famous for its World Heritage shrines and temples. Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Nikko Futarasan Shrine are recommended sites to visit.
