Salt of Marsala, Lagoon boat tour and tasting

Variable
About this activity

Board on a typical lagoon boat and immerse yourself in the history of a territory that has much to tell about ancient battles and the different peoples who have succeeded in this stretch of coast.

Take one of the comfortable seats, relax and enjoy a sweet boat tour along the quiet lagoon waters of the Stagnone Nature Reserve: you will circumnavigate the island of San Pantaleo (Mothia), today open-air museum and candidate to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list, and sail by the island Lunga, Schola and Santa Maria.

The Ettore Infersa salt pans are the boundaries of this scenario, with their salt mountains and the mill that stands out among the navigable canals. Salt has always been related to the history of this coastal area and the life of its people, as proven by the many typical products linked to salt.

Finally, enjoy a unique tasting of local products: in addition to salt crystal, chocolate flavored with salt flour, wine jellies, pistachio and almond creams, cheeses and local wines.
