About this activity
Your culinary experience will start with a welcome drink of fresh homemade lime juice or a local beer before you head to the kitchen to learn to prepare a traditional Rajasthani meal. Rajasthani food has textures and includes use of grains that may be unfamiliar to you. You may enjoy soolas (charcoal grilled meal that is a battlefield specialty), ker sangri (a Rajasthani dessert of beans cooked in yoghurt), and bajri roti (unleavened bread made from millet and served with homemade butter). Enjoy a delicious meal while learning about culinary and cultural heritage in Udaipur.

Raj grew up on a farm outside of Udaipur and has dabbled in everything from hotels to modeling to film (ask him about his role in the Bond film, "Octopussy"). He learned to cook from his mother-in-law, and loves to share traditional Rajasthani cuisine with his wife Gita.

Leave the experience with new recipes, a new friend, and a unforgettable memory in Udaipur.

Please note, this is not a professional cooking class, rather this experience is meant to be a visit into an authentic, local home to meet a local person and share the culture and cuisine together.
