Keeping the best for the last in the tour, you will watch the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedha ghat starting at 6:30 pm and lasts around 45 mins to an hour. The aarti pays homage to Maa (mother) Ganges, Surya - the sun God, Agni - the fire God as well as the whole universe created by Lord Shiva. Feel the energy of the divine as the priests chant mantras and shlokas in Sanksrit holding huge brass lamps, the smoke from the incense sticks fills the air and the sound of the beating drums and the conch shells create a magical ambience. Hundreds of pilgrims, tourists and local people gather to watch the spectacular event on the Ganges every evening. Amidst all the noise and activity, one seeks spiritual solace and peace. As the ceremony ends, soaked in spirituality, you will be transferred to your hotel.
