Hiking the 52 tunnels trail from the WWI

We meet up in Venice . Piazzale Roma (or any other arranged location outside Venice) and travel for about 90 minutes to arrive to the Xomo pass where we will have a restoring italian coffee in a refuge.
After that we will drive 5 more minutes up to the trail parking and we will be ready for our great hike through the 52 tunnels trail with incredible views. The hike will climb for about 2100 ft for about 3 hours, we will stop to have some memorable pics until We will finally reach the Papa refuge at 6400 ft where we will have our lunch with great views on the surrounding mountains.
During the hike your licensed outdoor guide will give you informations about nature and historical events from the WWI: this place was a pivotal area during the war
This hike is considered to be one of the most panoramic in Italy and even in Europe
After lunch we will slowly walk back for about 2 hours through another descending trail called Strada degli Scarubbi to go back to the parking: again you will have great panoramic views!
During summer season until September, at the end of the trail we will also have the chance to stop in a hut to taste mountain fresh cheese with a good glass of wine!
