About this activity

The tour will start with a visit to the last Venetian goldbeater laboratory, where gold ingots are transformed into ultra-slim leaves. The process starts with the fusion phase of the material, followed by the laminating work, which is necessary to prepare the gold for the hammering. Opened in 1926, is carrying on one ancient Venetian craft.

The tour will continue with a visit of the most prestigious fabric manufacturer of Venice. Textiles have been realized here for the White House as well as for Kremlin.

The secret of their production is the use of original 18th century looms. You will be told about the history of the fabric and the ancient Venetian tradition of textile, while watching weavers working.

The tour is available from Monday to Friday, due to working hours of laboratories.
