Enjoy the Lagoon of Venice and the most gorgeous islands situated in its northern side: Murano, Burano and Torcello.

Murano is known around the world for its glass blowing art. Burano made famous for its hand made laces and its colored houses. Torcello was the first human settlement in the lagoon that was established around the 5th century with its beautiful byzantine churches.

The major monuments in Torcello are the little cozy byzantine church of Santa Fosca with its beautiful portico, and the bigger Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta with its famous mosaic that inspired Dante Alighieri for his Divine Comedy. Not to forget the large Baptistery (now visible as a few ruins) positioned right in front of the Basilica.
