About this activity
The tour begins at one of the most famous landmarks in Venice, St.Mark’s Square, where you’ll admire ancient buildings, imposing monuments and historic cafes. Then you’ll visit the beautiful church of Santa Maria Formosa and the namesake square as well as Campo Santi Giovanni and Paolo.

You’ll feel privileged as the visit proceeds, taking you where the house of Marco Polo once stood and to the famous Teatro Malibran. The last part of this poetic stroll will take you to the main shopping area: the Mercerie, composed by enchanting narrow streets where valuable goods were once sold.

The second part of the tour includes a gondola ride to discover some new and not very well-known areas of one of the most beautiful cities in the world! The gondola tour will let you discover the Basilica della Salute, one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture, which offers a different perspective view according to the point from which it is observed.

Furthermore, you'll be able to navigate through minor picturesque canals of Venice, leaving the more famous Grand Canal and heading to other important and majestic places. During the gondola ride you'll meet La Fenice theatre, the main opera house in the city, and marvel at its stunning exteriors from the water.

At the end of the gondola ride, you will move to St Mark’s Square to take part in the final part of the tour: the guided tour of St. Mark’s Basilica, where you can admire the preciousness of its materials and interiors.

You'll be led through rich and sophisticated architectural structures as well as to the valuable remains of St. Mark.

Your knowledgeable guide will lead you to discover the major altar of St. Mark’s Cathedral and the Golden Pall, considered one of the most valuable objects in the world, due to the preciousness of its materials.
