Meet your local guide at the Ponte della Paglia, overlooking St. Mark's Square, at sunset and catch sight of the magnificent Doge's Palace. Listen to tales of the famous square as you head toward St Mark's Basilica.

Head into the darkened interior and enjoy the absence of the daytime crowd, as you discover intricate testament frescoes and glass mosaics. Follow your guide and hear the story of the basilica’s namesake, St. Mark the Evangelist. Greet the church custodian and enjoy access to areas normally off-limits to visit such as Pala d’Oro, a Byzantine-era altarpiece, and the crypt where it is believed St. Mark was laid rest.
