About this activity

Reach the meeting point just behind the Arena and with our friendly guide enter the grand amphitheater and visit one of the world’s great open-air concert venues. Look beyond the façade of the pink marble monument on Piazza Bra, and hear stories of gladiators and famous operas from its extraordinary history. Built in the 1st century AD from pink-tinged marble, the great theater survived an earthquake in the 12th century and is still the city’s favorite opera hall. Your guide will tell you little known stories, and reveal facts normally concealed in the mighty stonework. Discover one of the best preserved of all the Roman amphitheaters on an entertaining and fun tour.

Then, leaded by our guide enter into Juliet’s House and be carried away by the stories your guide will tell you as you explore this 5-story home. Enter into many of the rooms that, according to the myth, were witness to the love between Romeo and Juliet. As the highlight of this tour, you’ll even get the chance to go out onto the most famous balcony in the world, where you can feel what Juliet felt when all she wanted was to be happy with her loved one.
During this visit, you will also stumble upon Shakespeare’s poems, whose verses told the most tormented and romantic love story of them all. You’ll even have the chance to write to Juliet herself and, if you’re lucky, she’ll answer you!
This is the house of a thousand faces – discover how the passing of time transformed the household of the noble family of Capulets (you can still find their symbol hidden throughout the house). The house became a shelter for people in need and eventually, a museum for visitors who want to immerse themselves in the magic of Romeo and Juliet’s tragic story.
At the end of the visit, you can leave a sign that you were there, by writing your name and feelings in a special book that will be treasured forever.
