Fryderyk Chopin Tour to Zelazowa Wola - One Day Tour from Warsaw by private car

Zelazowa Wola, a place where Frederic Chopin was born in 1810, is only an hour away from Warsaw. The outhouse of the former, non-existent manor of the Skarbek counts, in which the great composer came into the world, today is a place commemorating this great composer.
Before the jubilee of 2010, the 200th anniversary of Frederic Chopin’s birth, renovation and restoration works were carried out both in the manor itself and in the park stretching around it. The place underwent a huge metamorphosis and looks nothing like it used to.
The reconstructed manor house from the 18th century is now a museum storing copies of documents, portraits, decorative fabrics, musical instruments and period-style furniture.
You might find the new interior design somewhat surprising though. Furniture that once filled the rooms was abandoned in favor of a modest exhibition showing the history of Zelazowa Wola as a place commemorating the great composer. The park, on the other hand, is beautiful and well-preserved. The music of Frederic Chopin is heard among the trees in the park’s every corner.
Each year in the spring and summer season, Zelazowa Wola hosts Sunday open-air piano concerts.
In the nearby Brochow, there is a parish church where the parents of Frederic Chopin were married, and he himself baptized.
