The hands-on nature of Roer's Zoofari sets it apart from other zoos. Create lasting memories with your family during full-day admission to the 30-acre (12-hectare) park near Reston.

Upon arrival, you'll receive a bottle to feed young lambs and goats in the petting barn plus a cup of feed for the safari animals and a parakeet stick for feeding parakeets in the aviary.

Visitors can observe squirrel monkeys and ringtail lemurs as well as miniature donkeys, zebu (humped cattle) and horses. A ‘Meet the Creature’ animal exhibit is offered daily and may feature an alligator, python, parrot, ferret or lizard.

Open air bus rides allow you to hand feed a variety of animals from five different continents. See animals such as North American bison, Asian water buffalo, African watusi cattle, South American rhea, and Australian emu. Several species of deer, as well as zebra and kune kune pigs, which also inhabit the safari.
