Stop At: Xi'an Banpo Museum, North of Banpo Village, Baqiao District, Xi'an 710038 China

In the morning, at around 8:00am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Xi'an downtown hotels then start the tour.

Today you will immerse yourself in the river of Chinese history at Banpo Museum first. As the first museum at prehistoric site, Banpo Neolithic Village Museum was built at the base of the excavations of Banpo site, and it gets the name from the remains of Banpo village, which inhabited from about 4500 B.C. to 3750 B.C.

Then you will continue to visit the Museum of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses are the underworld army of Emperor Qin Shihuang (259BC-210BC, the first emperor in ancient China's Qin dynasty), and it comprises different branches of armed force, chariots, horses and weapons. The discovery of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses is the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, and it made a sensation across the whole world.

Your next destination will be the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang. When Emperor Qin Shihuang ascended the throne at age of 13, he started to order 720,000 conscript laborers to build his royal tomb, and it took about 38 years to finish the construction. Its project was so huge and magnificent that set a precedent of feudal rulers’ extravagant burials.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back to the downtown of Xi'an, you will also have a chance to visit a factory producing imitated Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses.

After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel and finish the tour today.
