Your tour guide will pick you up from the Xi’an downtown hotel lobby at approx. 8:30 - 9:30 am, the guide will contact you at your hotel one day in advance or leave a message to confirm the pick-up time.
Enjoy comfortable transportation to the underground palace of Qin Dynasty, it takes around 1 hour driving. There you will visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the underground army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. As one of the top ten places of historical interest in China, it was also listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages. There are three pits tagged in the order of their discoveries, about 7,000 life-size Terracotta warriors and horses guarding the first emperor’s Mausoleum in battle formations. Follow your tour guide to explore all 3 pits and uncover the veil of this miraculous work.
Have lunch in a local nice restaurant and enjoy delicious local food. Afterwards, drive back to downtown and visit the Terracotta Replication Factory on the way, there you can learn how to make terracotta soldiers and purchase your preferred souvenirs.
